CATHERINE NUTTING, PT, DPT, OCS
Catherine is a strong believer in the transformative effect of physical therapy and empowering others to be as healthy and active as possible for as long as possible. She believes in developing strong interpersonal relationships with her patients, and incorporates concepts from her experience with health and wellness, fitness, sports, yoga, and Pilates into her treatment plans. She also uses manual therapy and motor control activities in addition to functional exercises and activity-specific training to help clients efficiently achieve their individual goals.
Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seattle Pacific University in 2008, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 2011. During her education, she became interested in the relationship between caloric consumption and athletic performance, and specifically the Female Athlete Triad and has grown that interest further in learning and treating Women’s Health/Pelvic Floor patients. Catherine’s studies have encouraged a more holistic view of health and activity, and she is passionate about encouraging people to pursue lifelong health.
Catherine has participated in multiple volunteer opportunities including physical therapy development in Honduras and Moldova. She also enjoys hiking, swimming, cycling, snowshoeing, snowboarding, volleyball, cooking, and listening to great Seattle music.
