Kerry Mauri is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 1999, and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001. While in college, Kerry was a Division I Rower, receiving an athletic scholarship to compete on the Crew Team.  As a member of the team, she was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player, and was named First Team All-Region.  While rowing at the collegiate level, Kerry was invited to attend pre-elite camp as a lightweight rower for the US Rowing National Team. After moving to Seattle, Kerry hung up her oar, and has enjoyed maintaining her competitive spirit through racing triathlons and rock climbing.  She is currently enjoying the juggle between work, play, her husband and two sons.

Kerry moved to Seattle in 2003, where she has worked in the outpatient, orthopedic setting.  She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and has completed the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy requirements and testing, giving her the title of Certified Manual Physical Therapist.  Along with these specialty certifications, Kerry has taken a number of manual therapy courses through the Institute of Physical Art, as well as courses focusing on biomechanics of running, cycling, and other sports.

She focuses on each patient as a unique individual, working with him or her to understand the source of the pain or dysfunction, and using that knowledge to effectively treat the individual.  Kerry’s ultimate goal is that her patients complete physical therapy with the knowledge necessary to prevent any future re-injury, and reach his or her potential to not only return to prior endeavors, but exceed that potential.
