IZETTE SWAN, PT, DPT
Izette Swan is the owner of Real Rehab Sports and Physical Therapy. She enjoys challenging herself both in and outside of the clinic. Over the years she has developed an eclectic approach to the evaluation and treatment of more often than not complex musculoskeletal issues with a strong bent toward utilizing functional manual therapy as developed by the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). While she enjoys working with all patients, she has a special appreciation and skill working with patients who have chronic low back, hip and pelvic (including pelvic floor) issues.
Izette performs all of Real Rehab’s high level/performance bike fits utilizing knowledge attained through Level 2 CyclePoint Certification, Medicine of Cycling Conferences, and other educational and reading opportunities over the past 15 years. She is a retired cat 2 road racer who has turned toward endurance mountain biking. She has completed most of the areas organized bike rides and was at one time a USAC certified coach.
Izette spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana, Africa, has traveled through Africa, Europe, Central America, New Zealand and South America. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast who likes to hike, bike, ski and run. Every now and then she signs up for a mountain bike event to keep her honest.
She is a 1997 graduate of the University of Washington Physical Therapy Program and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certification in Executive Business Management in 2015. In addition to IPA coursework, Izette has taken classes through NAIOMT, Great Lakes Seminars, Kathe Wallace and many others.
