Phil Armiger became part of the Real Rehab team in 2011 and brought with him a specialty in biomechanical and gait analysis and custom orthotic intervention.  Phil completed his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann (now Drexel) University in Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado.  He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Phil more recently completed a Certification on Lower Extremity Biomechanics through the Movement Performance Institute.

Phil is the author of “Stretching for Functional Flexibility” (Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins 2008) which is being used as a reference text in many schools across the country.

Outside of work, Phil is an avid skier and teaches alpine, telemark, and cross country skate and classic techniques.  He is the Training Director for the Outdoors for All Nordic ski school and a Division Clinic Leader for the Professional Ski Instructors of America.  He also enjoys backcountry skiing, hiking climbing, kayaking and sailing and enjoys working with related injuries.
